The Foot Release Anchor System is a convenient user friendly
configuration. When you are keeping the boat steady in a current
rowing with two hands, trying to sink hook with two more hands,
it's sometimes difficult to find another pair of hands to drop
the anchor. The foot release mechanism is conveniently located
out of the way, just in front of the oarsman seat. To drop the
anchor just step on the foot release lever, the anchor rope runs
free until the lever is released.

To lift the anchor just pull on the rope. The foot release
mechanism holds the rope between pulls.
The Foot Release Anchor
System keeps the Starboard Gunwale rope and pulley free making
it easy to get in and out of both
sides
of the boat.
