The ClackaCraft Boat Trailer.

ClackaCraft Drift Boat Trailers are built with
the ClackaCraft Over-Do principle in mind.

All ClackaCraft Drift Boat Trailers are constructed from 1/8-inch steel tubing which is thoroughly cleaned and primed with an acid-etch primer before the high quality black paint is applied.

Galvanized Trailer.

It is just as important to provide a "tooth" for the paint to grasp as it is to remove mill scale rust and grease from the steel before painting. If the steel is not prepared properly, the paint will not resist impacts by rocks. We Over-Do the preparatory work prior to painting in order to ensure that the paint quality will never be a problem for you.

High Quality Welded Joints.

The axles are the better torsion-flex style, rather than the old leaf springs for a strong, but smooth ride that won't pound your boat to death. The heavy-duty trailers come standard with large wheels. We stretch the trailers to the maximum on a regular basis by stacking them six-high, so we know they're rugged!

The ClackaCraft Wheel Hub comes with the type of spring-loaded grease reservoir that lubricates the inner bearing first; and then the outer bearing before exiting the overflow hole. You will no longer experience non-lubricated outer burrings and dry inner races.

The winch has a heavy-duty 600 pound capacity and comes wound with a hook and a 2-inch web strap. Unlike rope, ClackaCraft's Heavy Duty Winch Strap won't go diving on you when you cinch your boat up tight. The rear roller assists in the launching and retrieving of your ClackaCraft Drift Boat, making it a simple process. The bunks are carpeted to prevent sandpaper-like action to your boat by abrasive rock dust as you are driving.

The lights are an easily replaced, airtight sealed beam assembly that are flush mounted in the trailer frame.

This arrangement helps to prevent breakage and bulb burn out from the thermal shock caused by hot brake lights hitting cold water. The wiring is all inside the frame in order to prevent electrical problems due to snagged wires and wet corroded connections.

The electrical connector is a male, 4-pin flat inline connector and the wiring is color coded to the trailer industry standard:

  • Ground - White
  • Left Blinker - Yellow
  • Right Blinker - Green
  • Running Lights - Brown

The brake lights are simply both blinkers being operated at the same time.

While there are a lot of quality trailer brands out there on the market, over the past three decades of building ClackaCraft Drift Boats we have been around the block a few times. We've worked with a score of trailer manufacturers over the years and we know what holds up and what doesn't. We at ClackaCraft overbuild our trailers, because they are a reflection on the quality of our product and reputation. We do not want them to cause you any problems down the road.

ClackaCraft trailers have a 2-inch coupler and they are painted black.
