“No other area offers such diverse waters, and no other boat is as suited for the job as my Clackacraft 15LP. This boat is safe, durable, quiet and user friendly. From high water on the Big Hole to the slick on the upper Beaverhead – Clackacraft makes me a one boat man. Clackacrafts’ attention to detail is second to none. We drive some pretty gnarly roads out in these parts, and our trailers fall apart before the boats do. Now that’s saying something!

Out here in the land of big fish and even bigger wind you need a low profile boat. My guide staff and I all row LPs or Headhunter Skiffs because they catch less wind but are still comfortable to fish from. The Gulf Stream tunnel hull bottom on these boats really cut down on drag. A drag free boat makes it a lot easier to get our clients drag free drift. Also, the boys at Clacka have always taken great care of me, my staff and everyone I’ve referred to them.

| There’s Clackacraft and there’s not exactly. I’ve rowed a lot of different boats while guiding the past 15 years, none except Clackacraft are able to give me what I want in a guide boat. "My ClackaCraft is THE best boat for a guide like me: full-time, hard-working, and always searching out new water. Whether I am dropping it down a rocky bank at a secret river access or stalking shallow water sippers, my Clacka is amazingly tough, but handles with ease and stealth. The 16 LP glides under the wind, but can turn on a dime when I run through a low-water rock garden. Low-water, high winds, gear-head clients, with my Clacka it is all 'no worries, mon'".

When fishing is no longer a passion but an obsession you will demand nothing but the absolute best. The quiet waters of the Southeast require a boat so stealthy, so agile, yet so tough that you are able to sneak up and introduce yourself to any fish whether it be a trout, smallmouth, or musky. There is no other boat to meet these demands better than Clacka’s Headhunter Skiff. Having the skiff’s grace and maneuverability to sneak up on fish has taken my guiding to another level.
